Frist day:
• Morning
On the morning of the first day we’ll discover a city open to the sea. What better way than on a guided tour of the monuments of Palma (tel.: +34 971 720 720) and/or on the Tourist Bus ? For a Mallorca style visit, we’ll start at the Plaza de la Reina, and stroll through the s’Hort del Rei gardens then follow the old city walls. At the foot of the imposing Gothic Cathedral
there is a panoramic view of the Parc de la Mar, the Ses Voltes cultural space and the bay. We’ll end up at the Palacio de la Almudania, the Palacio Episcopal or the antique doll museum. Palau Reial Street takes us to the Plaza de Cort, where we’ll find the emblematic emblemático city hall. From there we’ll head towards the Born, meandering through some of the city’s unique shopping streets. The Born is a pleasant street filled with elegant shops. We’ll stroll on to visit the exhibitions and the tourist information office at the beautiful Casal Solleric. Heading towards the sea we’ll arrive at the fishermen’s market, winding up the lovely route through the area at the crypt and museum of the Church of Santa Cruz.
• Afternoon / evening
For lunch or dinner you can choose from a wide selection of eateries in Llotja, Born and Porta de Santa Catalina.
Afterwards, one option would be to combine some shopping on Unió street, la Plaza de Weyler and Jaume III with a visit to the Es Baluard Museum of Modern Art . You could alternately take the tourist bus to the Bellver Castle ; rising from the west, this old giant has protected Palma since the 14th century.
To discover the Palma’s nightlife, we recommend dining in the always lively Paseo Marítimo.

Immerse yourself in the culture of Palma. Why not go for the Modernism in Palma or Capuchinas Convent guided tour (Tel.: +34 971 720 720)?
We’ll start with a visit to the majestic Palau March and its lovely museum. Afterwards we’ll set off towards the manor house Can Marqués, a trip into a fascinating past. After taking a closer look at the patios de Can Oms, Can Bordils and Can Olesa, we’ll discover the J. Torrens Lladó house Museum. Moving on we come to the Arab Baths and the Mallorca Museum, and truly experience the city’s history. The Church of Santa Eulalia is set in a plaza of the same name, close to the Casal de Can Vivot, from there we’ll move on to the emblematic Plaça Major, stopping to take in the modernist facades of Can Forteza and El Águila.
• Afternoon / evening
For lunch we can stop in any of the delightful restaurants near the popular Mercado del Olivar.
The number 3 bus will take us to the must-see Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró. Another option is to shop along the way from the Ramblas to the Plaça d´Espanya, stopping to recharge at a café and maybe a visit to the old Gran Hotel (a modernist jewel), the façade of the Palacio de Justicia, Casa Casasayas and the Museum of Modern Spanish Art. For dinner the fashionable Santa Catalina neighbourhood is the place to go.

A perfect day for a guided tour of the Jewish quarter, and/or the commercial history of Palma (Tel.: +34 971 720 720). As you wish, we can mix and match shopping, art galleries and history. Embarking from the Plaza de Cort we walk to the Plaza de San Francisco, to visit the church of the same name. Continuing onwards we arrive at the Sa Gerreria neighbourhood, where in the Paseo por la Artesanía craftspeople make and sell their wares. Wandering on, we stumble across the absorbing exteriors of El Temple, the plaza and Church of Sant Jeroni, the Church of Montesión, the Crianza courtyards and Can Catlar.
• Afternoon / evening
The number 15 bus (Porta des Camp) takes us to the seaside Portitxol and Es Molinar neighbourhoods, where first class fresh seafood is on offer.
We’ll take advantage of this opportunity to do any last-minute shopping (don’t forget to ask for a copy of Las Mejores Compras por el Mediterráneo - the best shopping in the Mediterranean) and visit some of the art galleries in the city.
If you want to see Palma from a different and fun perspective, why not go on a bike or Segway outing?
